Thank you, friends, for all your kind comments and for helping me celebrate the box of books! When I was writing 40+ years ago, before SCBWI and before the internet, this kind of news was pretty much celebrated alone, or with family and a few close friends. But as much as they were pleased for me, it takes other writers to fully appreciate the thrill of new books. We're so lucky to live in a world with lots and lots of writing friends.

This is the time of year when the mail order catalogs start arriving for the holiday season. They're fun to look through, especially those with quippy sayings on t-shirts and such. I rarely order from them. (The postage will kill you.) But they're fun for browsing.
